For every reason...

One of the things I love most about teaching is that no two students are ever the same.

Maybe you want to come to me because you’ve always loved singing and want to develop your voice. Maybe you’re preparing for auditions, performances or an exam. You might be involved with amateur dramatics or a local theatre group. Or perhaps you simply want to build confidence and enjoy doing something for yourself.

Whatever your reason for singing, you’re very welcome here.

Together, we will focus on building strong foundations and making real progress towards singing goals.

being 'good enough'

One of the questions I’m often asked is whether someone is ‘good enough’ to start singing lessons.

The answer is simple: you don’t need to be.

Singing lessons are for anyone who wants to learn. And you’ll never know or improve unless you start somewhere.

You might be:

  • A complete beginner who has always wanted to sing.
  • Returning to singing after many years away.
  • Taking part in am-dram or local theatre productions.
  • Preparing for an audition
  • Working towards ABRSM exams.
  • An experienced singer wanting professioanl coaching.

Every student starts from a different place, and that’s exactly as it should be.

More than just singing

While developing vocal technique is important, I believe singin can offer so much more.

Over the years I’ve seen students grow in confidence, become more comfortable performing, and discover abilities they didn’t know they had.

For many people, singing becomes a wonderful creative outlet, a confidence boost, and something they genuinely look forward to each week.

My aim is always to creat a supportive, encouraging environment where you can learn, develop and enjoy the process.
